Apparent Resolution

By on January 7th, 2013

Happy New Year, Going Green-o-philes! It is my hope that every one had a healthy, happy, and green holiday season. This is the time of year when some make their new year’s resolutions (which is why the gym is unusually crowded, at least for the first three weeks of January)—with varying amounts of success; of the 45% of people who usually make resolutions, 8% are successful. (As for myself, my annual joke is that my New Year’s resolution is 1200 dpi.)

I have always found it best not to think in terms of “resolutions” but in terms of goals and objectives, and to not necessarily tie them to the new year. That said, LiveScience has “7 Resolutions for a Better Planet” that I think most of us can get behind.

I would like to add that you don’t necessarily have to make radical changes to achieve making your lifestyle a little more eco-friendly. Every little bit goes a long way in the long run. Just being conscientious of making small changes from conserving water to recycling and reusing can make a big difference if everyone were to put forth a little effort :)
